Timbra Kalimba

Handcrafted African Coral Wood · 17 or 21 Keys

Somewhere between the second meeting and the third notification, you forgot what silence sounds like.

Not the absence of noise — real silence. The kind that settles in your chest and slowseverything down. The kind you used to find in music, before music became something you puton in the background.

The Timbra Kalimba gives that feeling back to you. In minutes. Without lessons, withoutpractice schedules, without anything except your two thumbs and a quiet moment.

Why it sounds so effortlessly beautiful

The Timbra is handcrafted from dense African coral wood — a timber prized specifically for its acoustic properties. Its increased density absorbs sound vibrations and returns them as a tone that is both warm and full, with a subtle woody resonance you can actually feel in your hands asyou play.

The flat top surface clarifies the mid and high frequencies, giving each note a clean, bell-like quality. The ore-steel tines are individually calibrated to concert pitch (440 Hz, C major diatonic scale), so every note you play rings true — even the very first one you ever play.

Because the diatonic layout means adjacent tines always sound harmonious together, it is practically impossible to play a chord that grates. You can improvise freely, follow your instincts, and it will sound musical. Every time.

No musical background required — none whatsoever

The kalimba does not ask anything of you that you do not already have. You hold it in both hands, rest your thumbs on the tines, and play. There is no sheet music to read, no technique to master before it sounds good. The instrument guides you.

Within minutes of picking it up, most people are playing melodies they recognise. Within a week, many are playing their own. The Timbra comes with a full song book, key labels, and a tuning hammer — everything you need to begin immediately, without looking anything up.

A few minutes. A completely different headspace.

People reach for the Timbra at different moments. Some use it in the morning, before the day begins, as a way of arriving in themselves. Some play it after work — ten minutes that creates a clear boundary between the office and the evening. Some keep it beside the bed, because the gentle repetition of its tones is genuinely one of the most effective ways to slow the mind before sleep.

Others use it during meditation or yoga, where its resonant, sustained notes complement breathwork far better than any app or playlist. It is also entirely screen-free — something increasingly rare, and increasingly precious.
